DAILY ASSISTANT HOUSEKEEPER
WEST BERKSHIRE, NR NEWBURY
8am to 4.30pm- Mon to Fri when family not in residence.
Essential Requirements – Flexible for longer working hours and days (including some weekends) when the family are in residence. Excellent standards of cleaning, care of fine fabrics, laundry. Care of Silver and fine furniture. Must have knowledge of working within a large private home or luxury hotel. Training will be given on all aspects of your duties. Driver with own car essential. Strictly Non Smoker.

A private estate situated in West Berkshire requires an honest, enthusiastic assistant housekeeper to work alongside the current Senior housekeeper and Estate Manager.

This is a part residence home of International employers who are in UK usually no more than 45 days per year. You should have high standards of cleaning and presentation with a keen eye for detail, to assist the Housekeeper with the running of the house and ancillary buildings. There is also a requirement to manage a small team of casual staff when the principals are on the property.

The role will include day to day housekeeping, laundry, including the care of fine fabrics. To insure the property is kept to a high standard of cleanliness throughout the year which requires the cleaning of, the bathrooms, bedrooms and lounge, library, kitchen and dining rooms.

The estate has a welcoming environment therefore applicants must have a friendly and flexible approach to work, with a willingness to work hard, and be an integral part of a small team. The residence is a second home and can be very busy during the summer months, therefore you will be expected to work longer hours with time off in lieu during the quieter periods. Flexibility to work weekends (between 6 and 10 per year -with time off in lieu) when needed, mainly during the summer months.

SALARY £40,000 Gross per annum.
Full in-depth security screening and first class references will be required for this position.
