DAILY BUTLER
Country Estate outside of Quebec City

An experienced daily butler is required for a private family based at their private residence located at their country estate outside of Quebec City. Under the supervision of the family members and the Head Butler of the residence you will be responsible for the proper maintenance of the family residence (s) and its activities; this will need to be done with the utmost discretion and confidentiality. You will be working alongside a team of staff in this position.

Duties will include the following:

• Cleaning

  • General cleaning of the house
  • Maintain furniture and delicate surfaces including porcelain, crystal, silverware, art and collectibles 
  • Daily tidying of the house

• Property Maintenance

  • Perform minor general repairs 

• Service

  • Table setting
  • Table service including lunch and dinner and beverage service
  • Assistance at private and social events

• Kitchen

  • Occasional help in the kitchen
  • Grocery shopping 

• Organisation

  • Daily tidying of the rooms
  • Organisation of storage spaces
  • Packing and unpacking 
  • Transporting suitcases 

Additional responsibilities will include

  • Maintain a safe and healthy home environment
  • Work collaboratively with other house staff
  • Provide high quality services in a professional, courteous and accommodating manner to the employer, guests, staff and outside service providers
  • Floral arrangements, watering and maintenance of indoor plants
  • Meet and greet guests and visitors 
  • Carry out a variety of errands
  • Handle general inquiries as needed 

Candidates must have a minimum of two years of similar work experience with the practical knowledge of maintaining the maintenance of a large private residence. You should have good computer skills as well as strong organizational skills and attention to detail. Candidates must have a sense of initiative and have the ability to work as part of a team as well as independently. You should be professional, discreet, and trustworthy. Candidates must be able to prioritise tasks and have strong problem-solving skills.
Flexibility and confidentially are essential for this position. Non-smoker essential. A French speaker is a bonus. Driver required.
Salary negotiable based on experience. (HU3896)
