Essential Requirements: Proactive, experienced country house housekeeper. Confident family cook. Organised, child and animal friendly, ability to work unsupervised.

Lovely long-term vacancy for a country-loving candidate to join this fun, high-energy, informal family at their home in beautiful rural countryside between Cirencester and Stroud. This vacancy would suit an experienced “county house” housekeeper who enjoys cooking and is pro active, well organised and can really manage the day to day running of the household.

Other duties will include day to day house management, ensuring smooth daily running of the household, organising contractors, booking services when needed, ordering oil & logs, keeping on top of food shopping, freezers and larder contents.
You will need to deal with provisioning and use local suppliers, there is a superb butcher and fishmonger locally and farm produce available for fresh ingredients.

This is an informal home and the family are neat and tidy people and very hands-on.

The daily working hours are 8.00am to 6.00pm Monday to Friday with flexibility to cover occasional wends when required. 2 days off per week
Salary negotiable depending on experience. Driver with own car essential (HU4021B)
