An exciting new position has arisen for international clients who have worldwide residences in Europe and North America. Of paramount importance is your cooking training, experience, and ability to work “natural” food and holistic mindset around menu planning. Normally cooking is for the family, but there will be occasions when small functions and parties will take place. We seek a skilled chef with a wide knowledge of special diets, vegetarian, and vegan cuisines. Somebody who is dedicated and dynamic in the role, with a creative mind and the ability to really stretch themselves to cater for this highly discerning couple. Flexibility is key as the clients are both extremely busy businesspeople and eating times can vary on a day-to-day basis. Responsibilities include preparing meals for events that are hosted in the Family’s homes, such as small dinner parties or special events, locating specialty items, such as organic or gluten-free products, and maintaining detailed records of the Family’s food allergies and dietary restrictions. Sourcing local and seasonal products, working in symbiosis with the gardeners on organizing the vegetable garden, collecting fresh eggs from the chicken coop, organizing suppliers list, working together with the household team in the smooth running of the house.
Ultimately, a top-notch Personal Chef should be able to handle criticism from the Family as well as demonstrate exceptional communication, time management, and dedicated service skills at all times.
