RESIDENTIAL HOUSEKEEPER -COOK

Large country house in a glorious setting, part residence property of a young couple with 3 small children, nannies are employed.

An experienced, traditional, country house, housekeeper is required who can take ownership of the day to day running of this property. Part time cleaning support is increased during the principals “in residence” periods and there are grounds and maintenance staff employed too.

You will need a keen eye for detail, be comfortable working alone, have excellent housekeeping and laundry skills and be able to maintain the wardrobes.  You will be required to cook for the principals when in residence, good fresh healthy family dishes using garden produce. Ideally you will also be capable to make jams, chutneys, bake cakes and utilise the fresh eggs from the chickens, which you will need to care for.

The property is modern with high tech support systems, there are 4 acres of grounds and gardens.

During the periods in residence ( 3-4 times per year for 3-5 weeks each visit) the working days are longer and demanding, but time back can be taken and the role becomes more of a caretaking role when the principals are not in residence. Therefore flexibility, ability to cope under pressure and stamina is essential to this role.
