Technologically minded Butler / Valet with travel
This is a wonderful role for a traditional butler to join a team of four butlers. You will need to have first class table, F&B service and front of house skills and know how to take care of the cellar, fine glassware and china and objects d’art.
Candidates must have a superb personality and the ability to get on with existing members of long-term Staff. You will ideally have formal house experience and/or a butler training diploma.
This is not a management position, but for a butler with a totally hands-on approach and who has a great eye for detail, whilst at the same time being a team player and one who has a warm and friendly manner.
You will need to be technically minded and able to deal with high-tech systems including iPad’s, computers, smart phones, sophisticated phones, Sky boxes, Sling box and general computer systems etc. Ideally you will have a passion for these things and an in-depth knowledge of all functions and addition benefits of highly automated homes.
The vacancy includes travel from early December through to April, where you will be employed in the owners’ other home in the Caribbean. There will also be additional travel to Europe, so freedom to travel is essential.
Full staff, all very long-term are employed in both households by these charming clients.
Candidates are required to be completely computer-literate, have a clean current driving license and a long-term work record in a similar role with excellent references is essential.
Salary negotiable based on experience. Accommodation provided (with another butler) 2/3-bedroom house on the estate, where your family are welcome to visit. Team rota of working covering 2 shifts 06.30am to 3.00pm and 3.00pm to close of house. One full day off per week. ON HOLD

Long Term Hutchinson’s client is looking for a top-notch household manager, able to undertake informal table and beverage service and who has excellent front of house skills. This is for a family with 3 grown up children. The residence is approx.40 mins from Central Dublin in a beautiful location and there are other homes in South of France and the 2 homes in the USA, (New York and L.A.) so essential that you have freedom to travel occasionally.
You will need to be able to take on the total running of the main residence, (with occasional travel to the overseas homes.) The main residence is however the priority and you will be managing all aspects of the household staff, dealing with rotas, inventory and stock control, undertaking household accounts and ensuring that the travelling Head Housekeeper is well prepared to go ahead of the family, to ensure that each home is prepared in readiness for their arrival. Each property is staffed; however, you will need to have a broad knowledge in all aspects of running HNW homes and undertake a range of personal assistant duties.

You will undertake local shopping for the households, occasional driving for the general day to day running of the home(s) is essential.

This is a relaxed household, but with very high standards and you will be required to ensure the Owner and family have any equipment they require at all times, and that it is ready for use. Ensure all Guests visiting have all of their requirements met. This includes informal Front of House duties, training of junior staff and fulfilling any ad hoc requests from the Owner, Family and Guests or Estate Manager.

An experienced butler is required to provide full butler service for a private residence in Riyadh.
Applicants must demonstrate the highest levels of confidentiality and privacy, to promptly provide exceptional levels of personalised service to the Principal and set a positive example to other Butlers in order to maintain consistent delivery of the Principal’s special requests at all times and in all environments. Other duties will include welcoming and greeting the Principal, escorting the Principal to his accommodation, packing and unpacking. You will also provide a personalized service, demonstrating a sense of urgency, priority, and dedication. You should be proactive, with the ability to anticipate and respond to the Principals’ needs and requests, while effectively liaising with respective departments to expedite the delivery of the requested products and services.
Additional duties will include maintaining inventory and stocks, F&B service, maintaining records. You must be able to work effectively and efficiently with all relevant departments, external service providers and employees, to ensure effective and efficient service delivery. Organize and supervise the activities assigned by Head Butler, to ensure that all work activities are carried out in an efficient manner and in accordance with set individual targets. Be able to acknowledge, welcome and greet the Principal, using the appropriate levels of discretion and the correct forms of address.
Financial Responsibility ▪ Manage effectively and responsibly supplies and equipment as directed by head butler.
Education: Diploma or equivalent in Food and Beverage Service, with 7 years’ experience in a similar capacity.

Head of Service/Head Butler -Doha Vicinity-Qatar
A newly created position for this charming, young Qatari lady employer, who has 5 children under the age of 10 years. We seek an immaculately presented, highly experienced F&B Manager/Head Butler, for a new a residence which has recently been constructed. You will head a team of young waitresses and we seek somebody who has experience in large function and event planning and who understands the concept of true luxury and FORMAL food and beverage service. You will have great attention and a superb work ethic and etiquette with which to train and supervise your staff.
Although the employer is a young woman, she appreciates formal service at all times, even for small family gatherings. Ideally you will have had experience of funning formal events and business meetings and perhaps have had a background in top level Hotel Events and Functions in the past at 5* level.
You will oversee the service of lunch and dinner daily and may be required to travel to other houses within Qatar, eventually with some international travel.
A discreet, quiet, and very service-oriented person is required for this role. Somebody who is truly understanding of the concept of formal butler service and who genuinely loves their work. Adaptable, responsible and a quick thinker, with the ability to lead the Service Team. Ability to train and supervise the staff while working alongside them.
