Daily private chef required for a family of four with two young children based in Knightsbridge on a part-time basis with occasional travel. The chef will be required to prepare daily meals (lunch and dinner), three times a week, Monday, Wednesday, Friday with flexibility and occasional dinner parties. Our client maintains a very healthy and nutritious diet and is thus looking for a chef that can provide healthy options, using the finest ingredients. You will be responsible for the household shopping, provisioning, and inventory. As this role is part time, you will be required to prepare meals in advance for the days you are not there. Our client is looking for a wholesome family chef for their private, fully staffed residence in South Kensington. Family of 4 (including three children under 9 years old) require a warm and friendly chef who enjoys cooking varied, healthy family meals and loves children.
During the week you will focus on breakfast, lunches and dinners for the Principal and his friends, the nannies cater for the children’s breakfasts and you will be required to cook their dinner after school. During the weekend you will focus on the principal’s breakfast and then lunches and dinners for the whole family and their friends when necessary. You will also be required to provide lunch and dinner to the live-in staff. There are no known major dietary requirements or allergies, and they are flexible with cuisines. Stock taking and grocery shopping will also fall under your remit. This is an ideal role for a professional chef who prefers a much more informal, down to earth family environment, is happy to engage with the children and enjoys working in a team environment. When the family are in residence it will be six days per week with one weekday off. Split shifts between 9am to 7pm with flexibility.
There will be time off in lieu during school holidays when the family are away.

This is a 5 day a week position working Monday to Friday, from 8.30am through to 8pm. However, flexibility will be required on occasions. The main family residence is in Holland Park. They travel to various destinations throughout the year, and you will be required to join them to their trips to St Tropez only. When travelling you will be provided with your own apartment away from the family home. Your role will be to cook for the parents and the children who are 2 ½, 4 & 5 ½ years old. Two nannies are employed along with two housekeepers and the chef will also cook for the staff. It is essential that you have experience working as a private chef and if you have boat experience this is a bonus but not essential. The family are advocates of healthy eating.
