An experienced domestic couple is required to share the day-to-day management of a family home in rural Essex close to Stanstead airport. This is home to a businesswoman, with additional family members living in a separate house on the estate.

Essential Requirements - Previous experience working as a domestic couple on a country estate.
Pro active, self sufficient, diligent, discreet and responsible couple who work together with minimal supervision. Child friendly – both to drive. Computer literate.
A lovely position for a couple who work well together using their own initiative and seek a long term lifestyle position in a rural and very beautiful setting.
The property is an eight-bedroom country house in 8 acres of land. A small country estate with additional small cottages which are occasionally used by visiting family members. The family of five which includes 3 children ( between 14-10yrs) live full time overseas but use this property as their holiday home approx 10 weeks per year. Usually, 8 weeks during summer months and 2 weeks at Christmas.
The current couple of 13 yrs will shortly retire and this wonderful opportunity for a long term country loving, autonomous and self-sufficient couple becomes available. The property stands in a quiet and peaceful setting in a secluded valley in an unspoilt area of South Devon, close to the coast and approx 30 mins drive to the city.
An experienced gardener is essential to this role, 8 acres of beautifully landscaped mature gardens and grounds with sloping gardens, lawns, informal and formal flower beds, woodland and pasture.
The maintenance of the grounds and gardens, lake, stream and general maintenance of the driveway, paths, outbuildings are all part of the role.
You will need to have experience with the maintenance and operating of garden machinery, which includes a tractor, ride on mower, hedge trimmers, chain saw and leaf blowers. Strong DIY skills are required to maintain and manage this property.
The housekeeper will manage the cleaning, laundry, ironing, bed changing, errands and shopping mainly when the family are in residence. Essential that you are child friendly and be willing to drive the children to local activities when required and babysit occasionally.
Ideally one of the couple will cook and be able to prepare simple fresh family meals when they are in residence.
Additional duties will incorporate.
Feeding and care of peacocks and ducks
Security and alarm monitoring.
Driving when the family are in residence ie Airport runs, children’s activities, errands and shopping.
Organisation and supervision of contractors, tradespeople and deliveries
Management of Household and Estate purchases / budgets, record keeping etc.
Salary Negotiable depending on experience. Self contained 2 bedroom cottage separate to the main house. Monday to Friday with weekends off. The working days are longer when the family are in residence with opportunity to take time back during their absence. Both must drive own car a plus, a car is available for business use. Lovely position in a rural village South of Stowmarket. This beautiful estate is newly refurbished and requires an experienced residential assistant estate manager to ensure the grounds are maintained to a very high standard. The owners are a mature couple – semi retired with no children. Most of the time only the principals will be in residence, but occasional guests will stay (on average once per month).
The main house is a Grade 2 listed -8-bedroom former rectory, with 2 guest cottages on site, an outdoor pool and tennis court in approx. 50 acres of paddocks, lawns, and formal gardens.
You will be required to assist with the overall security and day to day running of the estate. You should have a practical background with good hands-on maintenance skills and be capable of property maintenance and hard landscaping. Ideally with previous qualifications of a trade or with gardening knowledge and experience.
You will be required to clean and look after the cars and garden machinery, undertaking and arranging servicing, repairs etc. You will be working alongside a team of staff, so essential you are a team player. There will be some occasional driving duties for the principals including airport and station pickups, restaurants, etc.
Detached independent accommodation provided. Salary negotiable based on experience, circa £30-35k. 8 hour working days, with flexibility including working alternate weekends. No pets. (HU3930)

New position for large luxury private residence close to Hyde Park. The vacancy requires a flexible hands-on housekeeping couple to maintain and care for this beautiful home.
Duties will include all aspects of housekeeping, cleaning to a high standard, washing, ironing, wardrobe management, arranging flowers, running errands & shopping.
Ability to prepare breakfasts and cook light fresh healthy meals when required.
The property will need to be cleaned on a daily basis and various maintenance checks carried out daily.
One of the couple must drive and be confident driving in London, there will be some driving duties for the principals and also airport runs. You will care for the cars and be proactive in their maintenance.
You will also be responsible for liaising with external contractors and general day to day maintenance of the property. Running errands, dealing with food shopping, provisioning and ensuring the residence runs smoothly.
The family will not be residing in the property for long periods but using it more for entertaining and inviting Overseas guests to stay. During occupancy, you will be required to work throughout the length of time the owners or their guests are in residence. All overtime hours /days can be taken once the house is serviced and no one is in residence. You will need to manage your own time, plan ahead and be well organised.
You will report daily to the property manager, so a good level of English and basic computer skills a must. Tagalog speakers very welcome.
Salary Negotiable depending on experience. Own suite of rooms on 3rd floor comprising bedroom with ensuite bathroom, private living room, and kitchenette. 2 days off per week with flexibility to work longer days and take time back when the principals are away.
