A beautiful country house and estate in Rural Hampshire requires a self sufficient, experienced domestic couple to manage the day to day running of a 7 bedroom property with outbuildings and cottages set within numerous acres of gardens, paddocks, grounds and let farmland. The family are in residence only part of the year and the rest of the time abroad. The role requires a practical, hands on approach and will suit very well organised and efficient candidates with a very strong work ethic. An interest and willingness to assist with basic horse care occasionally would be preferred, although a groom is employed.
A full time gardener and part time cleaner are also employed.

House Manager duties:

  • Alarms and security
  • Co-ordinating servicing,
  • Property maintenance and general repairs
  • General administration and record keeping
  • Care of vehicles including some driving
  • Liaising with outdoor staff/contractors
  • Problem solving
  • Varied ad hoc duties and tasks including occasional help with polo ponies

Housekeeper duties:

  • Hands-on housekeeping, cleaning and laundry
  • Household supplies and provisioning
  • Cooking/food preparation when the family are in residence
  • Co-ordinating any part time daily help required

Salary circa £60,000 Gross per annum depending on experience and skills, 5 day working week but with flexibility when the owners are in residence. You may be required to work longer hours when the family are in residence and any extra time will be taken back in lieu when they are absent. 2 bedroom cottage in the grounds will be available. Both must drive and strictly Non Smokers, fluent English and excellent references required.

We are looking for a highly professional and experienced House Manager for a family who live close to High Street Kensington. This is a very busy role for someone who is highly organised, efficient, has an eye for detail and strong communication skills. This is a family of 5 with a fully staffed household which include, PA’s, chefs, housekeepers, drivers and nannies.

We are looking for candidates with a superior background as a GM in a 5* International Hotel chain, (Leading Hotels of the World, or similar level,) with a minimum 5 years’ experience, or in a high-end luxury environment, with a significant private real estate portfolio and/or within Royal/Presidential households. 

Candidates need to have experience in pre-opening phases and set-up along with a wide range of operation involvement together with an excellent understanding of  true Luxury concept. You must have worked in at least 3 different countries, including Europe and be comfortable in dealing with UHNW individuals, VVIP's and Diplomats as well as their family offices.

Roles & Responsibilities:

Overseeing a large private luxury property in the Middle East, you will have the responsibility to oversee, coordinate and direct all aspects of the activities of the property. You will ensure that all hospitality related services are delivered in an elevated, professional and fitting manner.

 

- Responsible for a large number of staff from varied nationalities

- Planning, organising and directing all operations and services, including

  Food & Beverage (Production and Service), Housekeeping & Laundry,

  Health & Safety, along with Food Hygiene, Guest Reception and Handling,

  and Maintenance, including Landscaping

- Overseeing Human Resources

- Overseeing purchases required for the Property

- Maintaining inventory and stock control on all items in the Property

 - Experience in calculating and preparing operating budgets

HOUSEHOLD MANAGER/ HEAD HOUSEKEEPER

Fabulous opportunity for a Hands on Household Manager/Head House person to run and monitor this 10 bedroom, 7 reception room former Royal Hunting Lodge, set in 25 acres -  the summer residence of long term Hutchinson's clients, who own other worldwide residences.

This stunningly restored property boasts 20,000 Sq. ft. accommodation together with 4 cottages, a pool, pool room, Jacuzzi and gym + cellar, equestrian complex and snooker room.  The whole property is set in fabulous grounds and includes a Victorian Walled garden and a Tuscan Garden with extensive woodlands.

We seek an applicant who has polish and style, who is able to run this property (closed up for much of the year) in a totally hands on manner, working alongside the cleaner, assisting with housekeeping and laundry and who can also assist the butler with front of house and service duties and act as a Personal Assistant when the family are in residence during July and August.  She/he needs to also be a PA, but still willing to roll up her/his sleeves.  A Chef is employed, and seasonal staff will also be employed to assist, together with a full-time Head Gardener/Estate Manager.   Start as soon as possible.  The current, long service travelling household manager will be there for the first two weeks with the new candidate.   Candidate can be single or married, (without children.)  Partner to follow own occupation.   Dogs would not be welcome, however, cats would.  TOP salary and lots of time off, however you would be expected to work on a 7 day a week basis when the clients are in residence.  One of the gorgeous 4 cottages available for accommodation.  Excellent references are required. Circa £45-50k gross per annum all found.
