An experienced housekeeper is required for this private family based in Kensington. 

Must have experience working in big households and have had on the job training from previous housekeeping work.  Able to run this large house using your initiative.  

Excellent laundress/ironer/packer.

A kind and friendly personality is of upmost importance.

Duties will include keeping the house (set on 4 floors with lots of stairs) immaculate, managing the running and cleanliness of the house and cooking for the children's tea: pasta, chicken, salmon, sausages etc., laying out breakfast and organising school uniforms (Nanny employed.)  Children are 8, 5 and 7 months – all gorgeous little boys.

Other duties- general laundry, delicate hand washing of certain clothing, but bed goes to laundry with dry cleaners, who collect and deliver it back and the housekeeper arranges this.   

5-day working week, 8am-6pm. This is a really lovely and highly recommended family.  (HU3761)

A longstanding client is looking for an experienced laundry person to look after all laundry requirements for a family of 5, including 3 children between 2 and 6yrs.

You will be required to work between 30 and 35-hour week, average of 6 hours per day. Your schedule will be agreed with the head housekeeper.

Your duties will be to provide all laundry services to both the parents and children in regards washing and ironing of their clothing, all bedlinens, towels and household items. You will in conjunction with the head housekeeper arrange any dry cleaning.

You will have experience with steaming, pressing, hand sewing for minor repairs and ability to deal with high end fabrics, handwashing of silks, cashmere and first-class ironing of business shirts. You will be responsible for the return of clothes to the appropriate wardrobes, manage the linen cupboard and keep records of items that need to be destroyed.

There are additional staff in the house which include head housekeeper, housekeeper, nannies, a chef, and a driver. Therefore, it is essential that you have strong communication skills and must be highly organised.

The family have a cat so someone who does not suffer with allergies is required.

TRAVELLING RESIDENTIAL HOUSEKEEPER

Experienced, flexible housekeeper who enjoys travelling is required for long term clients who travel between multiple homes and their yacht throughout the year.  The couple have an immaculate penthouse apartment in London.  A Household Manager who drives and cares for the property is also employed at the London residence and has also been in post for many years.

This vacancy requires a candidate who is happy to spend the summer months at the property in South of France with trips to Italy. When working at the large property in France you will join the household team and so a good team player is essential. In the future there will also be some International travel too.

Duties are mainly housekeeping, you must have excellent cleaning skills with attention to detail, be able to care for the bed linen and towels and care for the wardrobes. Washing and ironing of shirts and cleaning shoes etc.

You may be asked to run errands and occasionally assist the chef with kitchen prep. Ideally you will have previous table service experience and basic cooking skills to cover the chef on his day off when in London.  The working day is usually 9-2pm then again 6-9pm, five and half days per week.

You must be very well presented, have fluent English and be available and free to travel. Strictly Non-Smoker essential.
