ESTATE MANAGER/MAINTENANCE/ CHAUFFEUR/SECURITY

Essential Requirements: Experience in domestic service. Flexible working hours, willing to travel with principals. Longevity in previous similar position. Fluent English, good communication skills and pro active. Child and pet friendly. Must hold a clean driving licence essential.

Large country house on an estate, home to a family of five which includes three children between 8 and 6yrs who are looked after by two rotational nannies and they are responsible for all nursery duties for the children. The family have two cats and a dog – so you must be comfortable around animals.

Maintenance/Chauffeur/Security role will be responsible for maintaining technical aspects and exterior of the house, regular driving and being part of an on-site security team.

Maintenance Role:

  • Understanding all the highly technical and SMART equipment of the house and actively checking and ensuring all is working correctly.
  • Minor indoor repairs and general household maintenance
  • Co-ordinating the third-party companies for any service and repairs.
  • Running a Planned Preventative Maintenance schedule (PPM).
  • Ensure the exterior of the house, including terraces and windows are clean.
  • Seasonal upkeep of the swimming pool.
  • Outside furniture maintained to a high standard and cushions set up and clearing away
  • Look after the family’s dog and cats - possible future pets if/when required.

Chauffeur Role:

  • Drive whenever requested by the employer, including regularly to/from London and occasionally to Europe, including overnight stays.
  • Flexible work hours will be part of this role as there will be regular driving in evenings and weekends, with some intensive and other quieter periods.
  • Run household errands for the family.
  • Occasionally drive the children to school or activities.
  • Ensure all daily used cars are clean, roadworthy and with charge / fuel
  • Driving License essential

Security Role: 

  • Liaise with security companies who manage the technical aspects of security and have a thorough understanding of these systems.
  • Coordinating with the other team members living on-site to ensure there is a 24/7 security presence, including regular CCTV monitoring and patrols
  • Ensure all security systems are maintained and serviced at the relevant time

SENIOR HOUSEKEEPER – MAINTENANCE/FACILITIES PERSON

Essential Requirements: Professional and experienced domestic couple with exceptional eye for detail and understanding of first class levels of service. Flexible and pro active, with a “can do” attitude. Strong IT skills, technically minded with impeccable record keeping and good communication skills. Fluent English, Clean driving licences and Longevity in previous positions essential.

The property is a well-established, totally refurbished manor house in a beautiful location. This is a part residence property of long-term international clients who visit especially during the summer months, the house is also used by extended family and friends throughout the year. The current couple will shorty retire home to New Zealand, after 12 very happy years, but will be available for a handover period. The Interior team of 4 include: cook/ assistant housekeeper, daily cleaner.

Maintenance – Facilities management role

  • Develop and understand a working knowledge of the mechanical and electrical installations, including heating, lighting, security, alarm systems, swimming pool and boiler room. Working through daily/weekly/monthly checklists.
  • Ensure that all facilities are tested thoroughly prior to any member of the family visiting. To include all tech equipment, audio-visual and telephones.
  • Liaison with all external companies and contractors servicing these installations, ensuring timely implementation.
  • Ensure all operating manuals, warranties, guarantees are kept scheduled and up to date.
  • Maintain comprehensive inventories of household contents, maintain diary, log all faults, snags, breakages, operational costs and repairs.
  • Supervision of the care and maintenance of the fabric of the building and where appropriate liaison with the Managing Agents and contractors. To include and ensure windows are cleaner, chimneys swept, bird guards are cleaned. All outdoor furniture is well maintained and the gym, swimming pool, tennis court are all clean, well maintained and all manufacturers maintenance procedures are carried out by the relevant contractors.
  • Occasional driving duties may be required.

Housekeeping Role

  • To ensure that the interior of the property is always immaculate.
  • Maintain and care for all contents of the residence, which includes special finishes,   Antiques, fine art and high end fine fabrics.
  • Assist with Laundry, wardrobe management and packing and unpacking during visits.
  • When the property is occupied, you will be responsible for provisioning, maintain bedrooms and bathrooms, turn down service, serving food and beverages and generally taking care of the principal and family or guests.
  • Preparation and serve breakfast and provide support and kitchen assistance to the cook for any large dinner parties or functions.
  • Maintain and record household budget and expenditure.
  • Oversee, supervise and work with local part time staff. Interact with any travelling staff as required.
  • Occasional driving duties may be required.

Excellent salary depending on experience, with 2 bedroom all found cottage. Based on a 5 day week, you must be prepared to work as required when the house is occupied. Experienced domestic couple with experience in a similar position, is required to have sole care and responsibility of this Villa throughout the year. Primarily a holiday home, used by the principals and their guests at periods throughout the year. The property is approx 30 mins drive from Ibiza town.

Main duties between the couple are:

  • Cleaning and maintenance of all rooms, bathrooms, and communal areas
  • Laundry and ironing with ability to care for fine clothes and fabrics.
  • Basic cooking
  • Driving to include airports runs, shopping, restaurants etc.
  • Receive and serve guests
  • Table service
  • Contact and liaison with service providers and suppliers.

Duties include

  • Can perform house-person / handy-person responsibilities such as tidying up the garden, driveway by sweeping, power washing, watering plants, simple DIY tasks (light painting, fixed loose screws)
