Yacht and Residence Based

An elegant, experienced Head Butler/Chief Steward(ess) is required for a well-known and respected employer and their 62-meter yacht with 15 other crew. Most of the staff have been with the family for years and consider it to be one of the best yachting and private house experiences you can have.
In addition, you would spend approximately half the year at one of the family’s residences. The family are known to hold only the highest standards and as such you must be able to meet these exceptional levels of service.
You will be working with another Steward and Butler to provide a full, dynamic service for the family. Duties will include looking after the guests, table service, and other front of house duties.
A strong VVIP private house background, or 5* boutique hotel (Relais and Chateau/Leading Small Hotels of the World preferred,) or Michelin restaurant experience essential. Minimum 5 years’ experience.
The yacht is Mediterranean based, and the family use it for about 5/6 months annually at different times throughout the year. When the family are on board, they do bring other travelling staff with them. Excellent salary and conditions.
We will also look at a less experienced candidates with a passion for service and food, with a similar background as detailed above.

A lovely position for an extremely organised, fun, reliable and hard-working cook/stewardess to join a small close-knit team based at this private estate in Jersey.
You must have excellent communication skills with the ability to liaise and organise contractors, deal with the shopping food, wine household supplies etc.
Duties are primarily that of cook, able to prepare 3 meals per day for the principal and her visiting family and friends. You should be confident to prepare and execute fresh healthy meals to include brunch, lunches, afternoon tea and a small dinner party and cocktail gatherings.
You will need to have experience with silver service, and be capable to serve drinks, canapes etc.
A daily housekeeper is also employed so you will be required to assist with household duties, cleaning, laundry and ironing as and when needed. You will care for your own kitchen have good presentation and be able to adapt to different occasions.
You will need to accompany the principal, as a companion, on outings for high street shopping, or to cinema and theatre. Also, whenever the principal travels to her private residence in England or on holiday, to carry on providing the above duties as you would as if you were in Jersey.
On occasion you will need to share responsibility for the principal’s dog and being a driver for airport runs, evening outings locally and visits to relatives.
Hours of work: approximately 40hrs per week, based on 5 days a week. From Monday to Friday. Generally, 2 days a week off (at times possibly not always together). Average working day will be 11am to 7pm, but again with a degree of flexibility. There will be no set daily working hours as flexibility is key.
Salary up to a max £45,000 Gross per annum based upon experience. Immaculate 1 Bedroom flat provided with all utilities except telephone, broadband and sky.
