HOUSE MANAGER/CHEF/BUTLER

ESSENTIAL REQUIREMENTS: Previous private house experience, Fluent English and Italian, Driver required, flexible to travel.

We are seeking a highly organized and versatile House Manager/Chef/Butler to join a private household based outside of Milan, Italy. The ideal candidate should be fluent in both English and Italian, possess excellent managerial and culinary skills, and have the ability to handle a wide range of responsibilities related to household management. This role is perfect for an individual who thrives in a dynamic environment and excels at multitasking.

Duties will include:

• Manage the schedules and calendars of the employer and her family members.
• Recruit and oversee household staff, ensuring they perform their job duties effectively.
• Handle all general chauffeuring responsibilities, including daily school runs.
• Daily cooking, including planning meals, purchase foods and beverages,
• Serve meals and maintain the cleanliness of the kitchen and equipment.
• Organize cupboards and implement efficient organizational systems for clothing and other items.
• Take receipt of deliveries, including registered letters, mail, and couriers, and put away grocery orders as needed.
• Check and purchase groceries and household supplies to maintain adequate levels.
• Deal with contractors as directed by the employer or their designated representative.
• Maintain and care for cars and bikes, ensuring road tax and servicing/revision are up to date.
• Handle general property maintenance.
• Front of house duties, meeting and greeting guest
• Handle household bills and administrative duties, including monitoring deadlines and making payments, maintain a petty cash register for all household staff, tracking the allocated amounts for each employee.
• Be prepared to travel with the family when required.

Candidates must be fluent in English and Italian with a valid drivers’ license. Previous experience in a similar role within a private household is essential. Strong organizational skills with the ability to multi-task along with strong communication and interpersonal abilities required. Discretion and the ability to handle sensitive information with confidentiality is also essential. Culinary skills and a passion for cooking healthy meals required.

The working week is Monday-Friday, 10 hours per day and 5 hours on Saturday. Accommodation provided. Salary negotiable based on experience circa €65,000-€75,000. (HU4108)
