Essential Requirements: Previous experience working in a domestic environment, clean driving licence, flexible, strictly Non smoker.

Family of four which includes 2 teenage children at boarding school/University, currently using this property as a permanent residence, in the long term it will revert back to being their weekend home.

The position requires a flexible couple who can demonstrate self sufficiency and autonomy.

The house has eight bedrooms and six bathrooms, and is completely refurbished and easy to keep immaculate. The housekeeper should have an eye for detail, be able to provision and manage the household and undertake the day to day housekeeping duties. These duties will include polishing silver and brass, polishing furniture, doing all the laundry including bedlinen and taking care of steaming more elaborate dresses/suits etc.

Between you, you will also deal with security, clean windows, clean the BBQ, manage external contractors, deal with suppliers and ideally have basic computer skills.

You may be asked to assist the principal with food preparation and possibly some light cooking, but this is not essential. Occasional entertaining will be for family and friends and on a relaxed basis.

Partner to care for swimming pool, tennis court, cleaning of cars and be able to tend the terraces, patio and undertake any maintenance duties around the property. You will need to lay and tend fires, manage the heating system and deal with any indoor maintenance as required. Also have to co ordinate the servicing of all cars and garden equipment.

There are large areas of lawns and at least 2 days per week will be spent cutting grass in the summer and 2 days dealing with leaves etc during winter months. Previous experience of using a chain saw and large pieces of garden equipment is essential. Contract gardeners are also employed, but any gardening knowledge and expertise highly appreciated. There are also Woodlands to keep tidy during Winter months.

Salary Negotiable depending on experience. Lovely one bedroom (large) self contained apartment, two days off per week usually Tuesday and Wednesday and use of a car. Sorry no dependent children or pets. (HU1538)
