A daily cook/assistant house manager/butler for an International Businessman and Partner required to join a small housekeeping team reporting to the existing House Manager in caring for the Principals and ensuring the continual smooth running of their household, as well as meal preparation. This is a hands-on role that requires involvement in all aspects including, cooking, supporting the house manager, occasional housekeeping, driving and valeting when required. A passion for food and wine will assist in having a good relationship with the Principal. You must have an innate desire to excel in all aspects of your job, a meticulous eye for detail and a willingness to learn from others and conform to the Principal’s exacting standards and requirements. Your confident personality means you are able to take control of situations but also get on well with and work well with others. You will be well-presented at all times and highly organised, someone who can be proactive when necessary but also happy to take specific direction when required by the Principal. You will benefit from a role that is very busy and diverse, whilst enjoying the reasonable hours.  

Kitchen Duties: Great in the Kitchen - enthusiastic & knowledgeable about food & quality ingredients. Cook simple but high-quality meals in line with the Principal’s taste and requirements. Provisioning top quality fresh ingredients for when the Principal cooks themselves. Occasional cooking for dinners for up to 12 guests. Occasional cooking for receptions and cocktail parties for up to 50 people.

Assistance to House Manager: You will assist with general household duties, working alongside the House Manager and Housekeeper to ensure continual upkeep of residences. Managing smart home systems, alarm systems etc - must be technologically savvy, past experience is desirable. Formal Table service & setting (on occasion). Serving refreshments/drinks Wardrobe Management - organising, inventory and care, willing to be trained up to and work to the Principal’s specifications. Packing/unpacking including laundry and pressing. Travelling ahead/behind or with the household to set up/close down the residence. Caring for valuable possessions such as antiques, china, wine cellar - Polishing and cleaning silver and fine crystal. Light housekeeping and general maintenance duties when required. General administrative tasks and running of errands.

It is essential that you are fluent in French and English, have previous experience in a private household as well as Clean driving license. Must be computer literate and familiar with Microsoft Office as well as knowledge of Apple products. We require a refined, polite, capable, dependable candidate who is reliable, calm and trustworthy.  Negotiable salary based on experience. (HU3530)
