Housekeeper/Gardener/Handyperson/Security/Groom Monday to Friday 8:30-5:30pm

Five bedroom contemporary family home in 5 acres of land, close to Watford, service by good rail links and easy driving distance of the M25. Informal family of five which includes 3 grown up children at University. There are 4 very small ponies, so it is essential that you are animal friendly and willing to look after the dogs if the principals are away. A groom is employed part time but you need to be willing to learn and assist the groom, previous horse experience is required and a genuine love of animals.

The family seek a pro active, creative and forward thinking couple who are used to working together as a couple. The position comes highly recommended by current and previous couples.

Duties will include all general housekeeping duties, daily cleaning, washing, ironing, household errands, school runs and dog walking twice daily in all weathers. There is no cooking with this position, no assistance is required for entertaining and driving is limited to running errands and occasional airport runs.

An experienced handyperson is required with a really good skill base to accommodate most DIY type duties, you will be required to care for all property maintenance indoor and out which will include local tenanted properties. A gardener is employed but some assistance will be required. House sitting and security during the owner’s absence is a major part of the role and hence holidays must be taken outside the families holidays. Salary £800 npw –mainly weekends off (some flexibility required to house and animal sit when the owners are away) 1 bedroom self-contained furnished apartment. Business use of car. BOTH must be non-smokers, speak fluent English, drive manual cars and have experience driving in the countryside with own car for pleasure. Sorry NO PETS or dependants.   (HU1694)
