HOUSEKEEPER -Full Time or 4 days per week

MAINTENANCE GARDENER /HANDYMAN /DRIVER – Full Time

Active, flexible, country loving couple required for large family home- a six bedroom, six bathroom property which is kept to immaculate standards.

The housekeeper will be required to run and manage this beautiful home on a day to day basis, which includes all hands on general household cleaning to a high standard, this will include the polishing and care of antique furniture, polishing silver and family laundry, shopping and assisting with meal preparation, although no actual cooking is required. You will need to be organised, efficient and enjoy country life.

Partner will be required to care for 6 acres of grounds which includes pasture, lawns and a small copse.  You will need to be able to drive a tractor and use machinery to top the paddocks etc.  In addition you should have good handyman skills and be able to perform most DIY duties, care for the outdoor swimming pool and deal with fence repairs. You will also care for the cars and be willing occasionally to undertake airport runs and station pick ups.

A good sense of humour and a genuine love of dogs is essential.

Salary Negotiable depending on experience. Lovely 2 bedroom furnished cottage, no dependant children or cats, but a well behaved dog may be considered.

Time off each week is negotiable, but ideally 2days mid week-but half days may be taken at weekends from time to time. The house is busier at weekends than during the week as 2 grandchildren visit regularly.

This is a long term position, requiring commitment and flexibility. Fluent English and ideally both to drive. Minimum 5 yrs experience in domestic position preferred (HU2395)
