A foodie family of six requires a passionate and very experienced chef to cook lunch, dinner, and snacks for them on a daily basis. The family employ several staff (housekeepers, nannies, etc.) and occasionally so the chef should be comfortable cooking for up to 10 at each meal.
The Lebanese family loves fresh and simple food with a touch of originality across a wide range of cuisines. They will appreciate a chef who can create a healthy and balanced diet for each week ensuring the meals are varied and also provide healthy snacks for the entire family to enjoy a few times each week. Four members of the family are gluten free and thus it is essential the chef has knowledge of how to cater for this special diet. Two of the children will also need packed lunches prepared for them daily. It is especially important that the chef loves children and is able to cater for them ensuring they are interested in what they are eating.
The hygiene conscious chef will also be in charge of keeping the kitchen immaculate and fully provisioned. Entertaining is varied and can range from twice per week to once every six months.

A daily cook/assistant house manager/butler for an International Businessman and Partner required to join a small housekeeping team reporting to the existing House Manager in caring for the Principals and ensuring the continual smooth running of their household, as well as meal preparation. This is a hands-on role that requires involvement in all aspects including, cooking, supporting the house manager, occasional housekeeping, driving and valeting when required. A passion for food and wine will assist in having a good relationship with the Principal. Ideally for a freelance chef looking for an annual guaranteed contract of 132days per annum broadly split between support to major visits by the Principal, minor visits by the Principal’s dependents, shoots and administration/servicing of the kitchen.
The property is the part residence of an eminent, Westernised and delightful Royal Family from the Middle East, who visit periodically throughout the year, but rarely for more than one week at a time, with a full travelling entourage.
This is a high-profile role, where eminent shooting guests are invited to the 20 days shooting throughout the season. Hearty British Fare is required on shoot days for reasonably large numbers, but the family will also enjoy eating a variety of dishes from around the globe and so your repertoire should be wide and your presentation superb.
The kitchens must always be ready to receive the family within a couple of days, so management of stock, top level cleanliness throughout floors, utensils, cookers, ovens, fridges, freezers, worksurfaces etc. is essential. Ability to liaise and integrate with the household team and lead the kitchen staff, being able to take instruction from the Principal’s Kitchen Operatives.
A full-time person could possibly be considered, but you would have to be able to cope with very quiet periods and then frantically busy ones, so we feel this role might well suit a candidate that has worked in a part residence previously, who can cope under pressure but enjoys down time too and wants the comfort of having a permanent contract for these lovely clients. The client travels a great deal and is away for approximately 4/5 months each year.
Our client is looking for an experienced special diet chef/cook who is familiar with gluten and dairy free, low-fat diet.
Duties will include, provisioning, taking total care of the kitchen and producing a very good level of simple, but well-cooked and nicely presented dishes, using fresh, seasonal ingredients. The client enjoys fish and fresh vegetables, with pulses, black rice, and quinoa salads etc.
You will provide one main evening meal, occasionally a very light lunch. The client likes to have home baked cakes available for visitors and so you will need to have experience baking with different types of flour – gluten free and low fat.
You will be required to care for the kitchen to an immaculate standard. Some light housekeeping duties required. This job involves weekend work, however the lady travels for between 4 to 6 months of each year and then weekends off may be taken.
