We are looking for a meticulous, hands on, Household Manager/Butler to oversee, manage and work alongside a team of staff. Exceptional attention for detail with a “can do” attitude along with being highly discreet and professional are essential.
This is a very large, refurbished SMART property in one of London’s finest residential areas. The successful applicant must be resourceful and self-sufficient. The property is maintained to extremely high standards.
You will be required to have very good administrative skills as you will be managing budgets, expenses, inventories, etc. The property has many special finishes and fine furnishings. Experience with care of artwork, fine finishes and fabrics is a great advantage. It would be good if successful applicant had a good technical understanding of the property (plant rooms, pools, boiler rooms, Creston, dealing with contractors etc.) Hands on is extremely important as this is not a job for someone sitting in the office all day.

The family of five includes 3 children between ages 9 and 5yrs and they have 3 small dogs. The family also own 4 ponies that are currently at a livery yard locally and they ride every weekend. In the future the ponies will be relocated home. They have a love of the outdoors -walking, riding, tennis, wakeboarding, skiing and are always out and about. Both parents are completely hands-on with the children, but you will occasionally be asked to babysit or supervise in mums’ absence, so essential that you love being around and are confident with school age children.
School runs, caring for the dogs, booking grooming, vet appointments etc are all part of this very flexible role. This is a position which requires a responsible, well organised, pro-active person to work alongside the lady of the house, who is a busy professional working mother.
Other duties will include day to day house management, ensuring smooth daily running of the household, organising contractors, booking services when needed, ordering oil & logs, keeping on top of food shopping, freezers and larder contents.
Light fresh healthy cooking mainly for the children will be required, not every day as the parents love to cook. A chef is available for special occasions. You will need to assist the housekeeper with provisioning and use local suppliers, there is a superb butcher and fishmonger locally and farm produce available for fresh ingredients.
This is an informal home and the family are neat and tidy people and very hands-on. A full time housekeeper is employed who has worked with the family for 8 years.
The daily working hours are 8.00am to 6.00pm Monday to Friday with flexibility to cover occasional wends when required. 2 days off per week

We seek a candidate with both land and luxury motor yacht experience.
You will be responsible for maintaining the daily routine, ensuring day-to-day tasks are accomplished seamlessly by the staff. You will be required to manage both permanent and temporary staff, ensuring they are maintaining a high level of professional standards, providing training, work lists and communicating the principals’ requests to the appropriate member of staff.
Duties will include
Administration: Dealing with administrative tasks to include monthly rotas, liaising with suppliers, maintaining petty cash, managing household and staff expense reports, overseeing the household budget and purchases. Diary management, booking restaurants, running errands, etc.
Butler: Excellent service skills required including front of house. Travel: Coordinate staff travel between residences, travel with principal on occasion.

Strong communication skills are essential for this role as you will be required to effectively communicate with all members of staff including the chef to confirm menus, timings, shopping, etc.
Candidates need to have a proven track record of successful household management, a background in operations of diverse households, experienced in both formal and informal households. You should have the ability to recruit and teach skills where necessary.
Additionally, we require a highly organised candidate who can prioritise tasks, work in a proactive and efficient manner and who can plan and oversee household seasonal moves between countries.
