RESIDENTIAL HANDS-ON HEAD HOUSEKEEPER-FAMILY COOK

Essential Requirements: Previous experience in similar role in a private household setting. Fluent English written and spoken. Driver essential. Ability to lead from the front and work with the housekeepers. Excellent team player.

Large Country Estate in Southern Ireland requires a hands-on senior housekeeper with the ability to cook for the family of 4 when they are in residence between September and January. A wonderful opportunity for a long-term employment in a beautiful rural countryside location.

This is a “hands on” head housekeeper role, which will include all day to day hands on housekeeping duties, whilst running and maintaining the house to the highest standards. Leading the housekeeping team from the front, working with the team and managing at the same time.

Duties will include but not limited to:
Menu planning, preparation and service of breakfast, lunch and dinner when the family are in residence. Kitchen assistance to the family who enjoy cooking themselves.
Grocery shopping, provisioning and stock control.
Laundry -washing & ironing and care of delicate fabrics.
Care of fine fabrics, Antiques and special finishes.
Feeding and exercising pets, arranging veterinary appointments etc.
Supervision of external suppliers, organisation of contractors and monitoring of external providers.
Liaison with Housekeeping team.

Self-contained accommodation locally will be provided.
Salary in the region of 50,000 Euros per annum. Excellent references, Driving Licence and Fluent English essential. (HU4048)
