DAILY PRIVATE CHEF

A distinguished family of four in the heart of Mayfair is seeking an experienced Private Chef to join their professional and welcoming staffed household. This is a rare opportunity for a talented, discreet, and personable chef who thrives in a private home environment and is passionate about delivering nutritious, flavourful cuisine tailored to modern, health-conscious preferences. 

You will prepare daily lunch and dinner (Monday to Friday) for the family, working from 9:30am to 6:30pm. The family enjoys a diverse range of cuisines including Asian, British, Mediterranean, and many styles, with a strong emphasis on fresh, healthy, and nutritionally balanced meals. One principal follows a vegetarian diet, so versatility and creativity in meat-free options are essential.

A couple of times per month, you will prepare elegant 3-course dinner parties for up to 10 guests, occasionally working later. Limited travel (maximum 2 weeks per year) may be required, though this is not guaranteed.

Key Responsibilities

·       Plan and prepare daily lunches and dinners using high-quality, seasonal ingredients.

·       Create varied, healthy menus that accommodate vegetarian preferences while appealing to the whole family.

·       Design and execute refined 3-course menus for occasional dinner parties.

·       Maintain the highest standards of kitchen organisation, hygiene, and food safety.

·       Work collaboratively within a professional staffed household (House Manager, Butler, Nanny,

·       Be comfortable working with children and as part of a close-knit team. 

Requirements

·       Proven experience as a Private Chef in a household setting is essential (restaurant or hotel experience alone is not sufficient).

·       Strong culinary versatility across Asian, Mediterranean, and other cuisines.

·       Expertise in healthy, nutritional cooking and vegetarian/plant-based dishes.

·       Professional, discreet, and reliable with excellent references.

·       Strong organisational skills and a calm, positive demeanour under pressure. 

This is a live-out position in a sophisticated, family-oriented household that values discretion, flexibility, and culinary excellence. Salary £60k–£70k gross per annum, availability to travel occasionally. (HU4434)
