DAILY SENIOR HOUSEKEEPER

Salary: £55,000 Gross

Monday to Friday 8.30am to 5.30pm with flexibility to work one Saturday per month

Essential Requirements: Reliable, flexible, trustworthy, enthusiastic housekeeper with a minimum of 5yrs previous experience working in a formal private residence.

Attention to detail, working on own initiative and a very good team player. Highest standards of cleaning & hygiene. Excellent laundry skills, including ability to make minor repairs. Fluent English to answer telephone and door. Dog friendly essential. 

A highly professional and experienced housekeeper is required for a family of 3, including 2 teenage daughters who are of university age. This is a large property of approx. 7,000 Sq. feet, with 4 bedrooms, and multiple reception rooms over four floors and many stairs, thus an energetic and self-motivated candidate is essential for this role.   

Duties will include 

a.       Cleaning & Tidying of the entire home to a superior level, including inside windows.

b.       Making beds, changing bed linens and towels

c.       Managing wardrobes, making minor repairs, arranging dry cleaning.

d.       Food/ ingredients preparation, tidying and organising the kitchen, butlers’ pantry and wine store after meal service. Ability to prepare fresh family dishes a big plus.

e.       Keep refrigerator, pantry and cupboards tidy and remove out of date items.

f.        Answer the door, telephone, manage deliveries, run errands. Deal with suppliers & contractors

g.       Feed and exercise family pets as and when required.

h.       Assist with preparation for dinner parties and special events.

i.         Care of household plants and flower arranging.

j.         Keeping pathways, patios, steps clean and tidy.

k.       Managing security alarms

l.         Maintaining stock of cleaning & household supplies,

m.     Handling petty cash

n.       Maintaining, cleaning and arranging servicing of all equipment /appliances.

o.       Minor PA duties for the lady of the house. 

It is essential that you are dog friendly as the family have four dogs (one medium size and 3 small) and you will be required to assist with pet care, especially when the family are away. 3 min walk to the local park and in addition a dog walker service will be arranged.

There will be an additional housekeeper so teamwork is a must. Previous private house experience is essential along with longevity in previous roles. 

5-day working week 8.30 to 5.30pm with a break during the day is encouraged. Occasional Saturday working will be required, no more than once per month.  Salary £55,000 Gross based on experience.  (HU4397)
