Essential Requirements: Proactive, very experienced high-end Housekeeper. Extremely flexible to work around the principal’s schedule. Detail orientated, with deep knowledge of fabric care.

Fluent English, good communication skills, with a calm, discreet and professional manner. A confident, adaptable proactive housekeeper, with first class housekeeping/ service skills and experience working in a UHNW residence or Boutique/5* Hotel. Good team player and dog friendly. 

Our client is seeking an exceptional, hands-on Housekeeper for a private residence in Belgravia, maintained to the standards of a leading luxury hotel. This is a genuinely hands-on role spanning the full cleaning and upkeep of the property, alongside wardrobe care, guest service, and event support. We are looking for a Senior Housekeeper with real exacting standards, a meticulous eye for detail, and the flexibility to turn their hand to whatever the day requires — while always using their own initiative and discretion.

The principals travel frequently, so the pace of the role will vary considerably. When they are away, there will be downtime to focus on deep cleaning, maintenance, and organisation. When in residence, the Housekeeper as part of a small team must deliver exceptional, hotel-standard service.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES

Hands-On Cleaning & Property Care — 

●        Full hands-on cleaning and upkeep of the property to an exacting finish, working with another housekeeper

●         During principal not in-residence periods— deep cleans, maintenance checks, and seasonal organisation.

Wardrobe & Laundry Care — 

●        Full wardrobe management for the principals, including rotation, packing, and organisation

●        Expertise in handling a wide range of fabrics, and fine garments

●        Impeccable laundering, pressing, and stain removal, with the knowledge to treat delicate or difficult fabrics correctly

●        Maintaining garments, shoes, and accessories.

Household Standards — 

●        Running the household to the highest standard: faultless presentation & spotless order.

●        Comfortable and genuinely happy around the family dog, treating them as part of the household

Guests & Events — 

●        Clear, confident communication with guests and the principal directly, always warm and professional

●        Supporting other household staff during busy periods, including service to guests

●        Assisting with events for the principal's high-profile clients and contacts, always maintaining discretion

●        Deliver exceptional service whenever the principals are in town, adapting comfortably between calm and high-pressure periods

Daily Duties & Communication — 

●        Preparing principals medicines each morning, following instructions.

●        Communicating clearly and promptly with the principal's PAs, flagging any issues early and always arriving with a proposed solution

●        Working proactively across the household team, using initiative and contributing ideas. 

This is a 40-hour week, although the pattern will be flexible around the principals' schedule. Some weeks may be spread across seven days with time off in lieu; other weeks will bring multiple consecutive days off. The principals travel frequently, giving natural downtime for maintenance and deep cleaning — balanced against periods when they are in town and full hands-on service is required. Genuine flexibility and an understanding, easy-going approach to changing schedules are essential.
