Essential Requirements: Previous private Chef experience, knowledge of Italian/Mediterranean cuisine and Middle Eastern cuisine, fluent English, flexible.
An Executive Chef is required for a private family based in Kurdistan, Iraq. You will oversee all culinary operations for the family, guests and staff, creating high-quality, healthy and varied menus aligned with the family’s tastes. A strong knowledge of Italian/Mediterranean cuisine and Middle eastern cuisine is essential.
KEY RESPONSIBILITES:
· Design and execute daily menus, special occasions and event menus, adjusting to evolving preferences and dietary requirements.
· Lead all food preparation, cooking and presentation, ensuring consistency at restaurant level.
· Manage procurement, supplier relationships, stock rotation and kitchen cost control.
· Enforce food safety, hygiene and cleaning standards, and maintain kitchen HACCP documentation.
· Train and mentor the Sous chef and kitchen assistants, including cross-training for staff meals and simple service during emergencies.
· Generate along with the Head Butler a family preference file for each member of the family listing their favourite beverages, and foods/dishes, and to maintain and update these files on a regular basis.
You will need to have professional culinary training; extensive fine-dining or UHNW household experience. You will need to be flexible to work around the family’s schedule. Fluent in English, Arabic speaker would be an advantage. Accommodation provided, medical insurance and return flight home is provided. 6-day working week, working hours will be 8-10 hours per day with flexibility.
