We are seeking an experienced and professional Live-Out Housekeeper/Cook to join a large, high-standard private family home. This is a busy, fully staffed household that includes a House Manager, 3 Nannies, 5 Housekeepers, 2 Chefs, 3 Drivers, a Security Team, and a Personal Assistant. The family has four young children and maintains exacting standards across all areas of the home.
The property is a substantial four-floor residence featuring 8 en-suite bedrooms, a cinema room, and a swimming pool. The role demands high energy, physical fitness, and a genuine commitment to excellence.
This is a balanced 50% Housekeeping / 50% Cooking role. You will work alongside the existing housekeeping team to maintain the interiors of this beautiful family home to the very highest standards, while also providing dedicated support in the kitchen. Your cooking responsibilities will focus primarily on breakfast and lunch preparation for the children, including items such as eggs, smoothies, granola, and similar healthy options. The Chefs will fully train you on the family’s preferred recipes and exacting standards.
Key Responsibilities Housekeeping (50%) / Cooking (50%)
· Perform day-to-day housekeeping duties to an exceptional standard across all areas of the four-floor property.
· Deep cleaning, polishing, and caring for fine furniture, silverware, antiques, and artwork.
· Specialist care of delicate surfaces including marble and stone.
· Full laundry service: washing, ironing, hand-washing, and caring for delicate and high-end fabrics.
· Changing beds and managing all household linens to the highest standards.
· Flower arranging and maintaining fresh floral displays.
· General upkeep and presentation of the home to the family’s exacting standards.
· Prepare breakfast and lunch for the family, following the exact recipes and presentation standards preferred by the household.
· Work closely with the Chefs, who will teach and train you on all family-specific recipes and requirements.
· Maintain the highest hygiene and kitchen standards at all times.
Requirements:
· Significant previous experience in a similar dual-role capacity (housekeeping and cooking) within a large, high-net-worth private household or luxury environment.
· Strong housekeeping skills with proven ability to care for fine furniture, antiques, artwork, silver, and delicate fabrics to the highest standards.
· Solid cooking experience with a passion for preparing breakfast and lunch menus; willingness to learn and master the family’s specific recipes is essential.
· Excellent eye for detail, pride in presentation, and a proactive, self-starting approach.
· Strong team player with outstanding communication and organisational skills.
· Professional, discreet, and reliable with a positive, can-do attitude.
· Pet-friendly and comfortable working in a family home with young children.
This is an excellent opportunity for a dedicated and versatile professional who enjoys both meticulous housekeeping and hands-on cooking in a prestigious family setting. While the position is primarily a 5-day working week (approximately 9 hours per day 6.15am to 3pm), there is an expectation of flexibility, including weekend cover on a rotational basis with the rest of the team.
