Essential Requirements: Confident Cook to dinner party standard. Attention to detail with high end fabrics. Experienced forward thinking housekeeper capable to manage the household on a daily basis. Clean driving licence, Fluent English and longevity in previous domestic roles. Caretaker of the property during the owner’s absence. 

An experienced, proactive and self-sufficient cook-housekeeper, required to manage and care for a well-maintained immaculate 7-bedroom country house, in 4 acres of gardens in a village location. The principals are a mature couple with adult family members who visit occasionally. Although this is the principal’s main residence they travel frequently and spend 5-6 months over the year abroad.

Full time gardening contractors and part time housekeeper are also employed. 

Duties will be menu planning, preparing fresh healthy meals and undertaking occasional small dinner parties. The principals enjoy a wide taste in food and like to try new dishes, ranging from English, French, Italian, and Asian. You will be responsible for household shopping, accounts and the daily running of the residence.

Ideally you will have experience caring for antiques, fine china and silver, be able to arrange flowers and serve at table. This is a semi formal household and ideally you will have previous experience in a similar residence. A part time daily housekeeper is also employed. 

The principals spend 5-6 weeks abroad each year, so you will be required to care for the family dog during some of their absence.  

Salary circa £50-55,000 Gross. 2 days off mid-week, when the principals are in residence with one full weekend off per month.  Separate fully furnished 2 bedroom cottage with own garden available. Driver with clean licence essential, a car is provided for work. One pet considered. Strictly Non Smokers only. JUNE START. (HU4282)
