Essential Requirements: Previous private Chef experience, knowledge of healthy, nutritious cooking, yacht experience with valid STCW & ENG1, available to travel.
An experienced Freelance Private Chef is required to support an UHNW household based in Chelsea, including periods of international travel including onboard the yacht, valid STCW and ENG1 are required.
This role is ideally suited to a Chef with a health-focus, refined presentation, and a modern, elegant cooking style. The successful candidate will be confident creating beautifully balanced, nourishing dishes with clean flavours, while operating with the highest levels of discretion and professionalism in a private household setting.
With a health-conscious approach, the Chef will be responsible for preparing lunches and dinners for the principals during agreed periods of work. The principals are lovely to work for and are looking for nutritious and delicious meals, made from fresh, seasonal and organic ingredients sourced locally wherever possible.
The family requires a Chef who can provide freelance cover throughout the year, both in London and internationally. Availability during key school holiday periods is essential, particularly Easter, Christmas, half-term and the summer holidays. The Chef must also be willing and able to travel internationally including onboard the yacht, valid STCW and ENG1 are required.
During each booking, the Chef will take responsibility for kitchen management, including menu planning, grocery shopping, ingredient sourcing and ensuring the kitchen is fully stocked and organised.
DUTIES TO INCLUDE
· Plan and prepare daily meals in line with the principal’s preferred style: organic, fresh, seasonal and nutritious.
· Provide refined family-style lunch and dinner service, and occasional more formal dinner service when they are entertaining.
· Travel internationally with the principals for agreed periods throughout the year.
· Be available for key school holiday periods, including Easter, Christmas, half-term and summer holidays.
· Source fresh, premium ingredients both in the UK and internationally.
· Maintain a spotless, organised kitchen at all times, including food storage, cleanliness and stock rotation.
· Undertake food shopping and ingredient sourcing to a high standard, selecting premium produce from trusted suppliers.
· Adapt menus based on preferences, location and daily requirements.
· Ensure all meals are delivered punctually and with consistency while maintaining complete confidentiality and discretion.
Candidates must have previous private house experience, a deep knowledge of healthy, nutritious cooking and dietary balance, flexibility and experience to travel during Easter, Christmas, half-term and summer holidays. We seek a candidate who is organised, self-motivated and able to manage all aspects of kitchen operations, must be adaptable and discreet. Salary negotiable based on experience.
