A private client is seeking an experienced, highly professional Housekeeper to oversee the housekeeping and presentation of a luxury chalet in Gstaad. The property serves as a secondary residence and is occupied by the principals throughout the year on a seasonal and intermittent basis.

This is an excellent opportunity for a proactive, self-sufficient, and detail-oriented Housekeeper who takes pride in maintaining the highest standards within a luxury private household environment. This is a permanent position, not seasonal.

Key Responsibilities

Housekeeping & Property Presentation

·       Always maintain the chalet to immaculate five-star standards.

·       Carry out all daily housekeeping duties, including cleaning, dusting, polishing, vacuuming, etc.

·       Ensure all rooms, guest areas, and staff areas are consistently presented to an exceptional standard.

·       Conduct regular deep cleaning and seasonal housekeeping tasks.

·       Monitor household supplies and maintain appropriate stock levels.

Laundry & Wardrobe Management

·       Provide expert laundry care for delicate, luxury, and designer garments.

·       Manage ironing, pressing, steaming, and garment care to the highest standard.

·       Organise and maintain wardrobes, dressing rooms, and storage areas.

·       Carry out wardrobe rotations and seasonal organisation as required.

·       Arrange specialist cleaning and repairs when necessary.

·       Packing & Unpacking

Property Readiness & Guest Preparation

·       Ensure the chalet is fully prepared prior to the principals' arrival.

·       Coordinate housekeeping requirements during periods of occupancy.

Candidates must have proven experience working within luxury private households, exceptional housekeeping skills with meticulous attention to detail, extensive laundry and wardrobe management experience, highly organised and discreet, can anticipate needs and ensure the chalet remains in pristine condition throughout the year.

Negotiable salary dependent on experience. Accommodation available if required.  (HU4428)
