Essential Requirements: Minimum of 5 years’ experience working in private households, fluent German and English speaker, driver. 

We are currently seeking a traditional, flexible, proactive, and service-oriented Butler/House Manager to join a prestigious private household in Berlin. The ideal candidate will demonstrate outstanding hospitality skills, total discretion, and the ability to adapt to the needs of the principal.

The household consists of a full team of staff and the candidate should have extensive experience as a private household Butler and Household Manager.

Duties:

    • Oversee the daily operations of the household, ensuring efficiency and discretion

    • Manage household schedules, rotas, and oversee landscape, maintenance within the household. 

    • Inventory management, managing household supplies and provisioning. 

    • Creating household and staff manuals.

    • Providing outstanding front of house service, meeting and greeting the principals and ensuring guests’ experience the exceptional.

    • Understand Principals’ and guests’ preferences, allergies, to arrange personalised services, working with any concerns professionally. 

    • Overseeing, arranging and planning events. 

    • Coordination with the Chef, shopping for provisions and making certain that the correct groceries are in stock for the days’ menus. 

    • Table setting, providing perfect food and beverage service with elegance and flair, making sure that service standards are outstanding during meals and events. 

    • Care for fine crystal, china, silverware, pantry and linens. 

    • Handling all matters with the utmost discretion and professionalism. 

The ideal candidate should have experience working as a Butler in a private household with Butler or Hospitality training. Experience in household management would be preferred. Strong communication skills and the ability to work closely with other staff members. High attention to detail, ensuring excellence in all household services. Flexibility and adaptability to changing schedules and family needs. You will need to be proactive, discreet, and service-oriented. Excellent German and English required. Driver. 6 day working week, 8-10 hours per day, accommodation provided.
