We are seeking an exceptional, pro-active, experienced, and discreet Senior Housekeeper to join a highly respected private household. This is a rare opportunity to work in a beautifully maintained 10-bedroom estate for Principal’s who value meticulous attention to detail, professionalism, and a calm, polished presence. A family of five which includes 3 children and a nanny.
The Housekeeper will take full responsibility for maintaining the highest standards of cleanliness and organisation, with additional duties including wardrobe management, occasional preparation of family meals (negotiable) and formal household responsibilities such as greeting guests and serving refreshments.
Key Responsibilities
· Impeccable upkeep of all interiors to the highest standard
· Laundry, ironing, and wardrobe management, including care for delicate fabrics
· Household organisation, stock management, and occasional errands
· Preparing occasional family meals when required ( negotiable)
· Flower arrangements
· Liaising with other household staff, estate team and contractors
· Assisting with basic care for the family’s spaniel
· Occasional support for events and guests
The Ideal Candidate
· Minimum 5 years’ experience in similar HNW households
· Exceptional attention to detail, strong organisational skills, and the ability to manage multiple tasks effectively.
· Discreet, trustworthy, and able to work with minimal supervision
· Flexible, proactive, and service-oriented attitude
· Physically fit with good energy and capable of handling the demands of a large home.
· Ideally have ability to cook family meals and assist with entertaining when required
· Confident with high-end cleaning products and specialist techniques
· Must hold a valid UK driving licence and be able to commute daily if the candidate opts to live out.
Schedule & Benefits
· Full-time, 45-50 hours per week (typical schedule Mon-Fri 8:30am – 6:30pm, with flexibility on weekends when required)
· Salary: Between £50,000 - £60,000 (neg DOE & accommodation requirements)
· Live-in (I bed cottage) or Live-out option available
