DAILY FACILITIES MAINTENANCE TECHNICIAN / HOUSE PERSON

A prestigious private estate in Paris seeks an experienced Facilities Maintenance Technician/House Person to ensure the property, systems, and grounds are maintained and presented to the highest standards. This hands-on role combines facilities management, technical maintenance, and houseman/housekeeping support, working closely with estate management, housekeeping, and external vendors. 

Key Responsibilities

Facilities & Maintenance

  • Act as the on-site point of contact for all facilities-related matters.

  • Coordinate and supervise vendors and contractors; assist with sourcing, contracts, quality control, and invoice review.

  • Conduct regular property inspections; log issues, generate work orders, and ensure timely resolution.

  • Support implementation and management of the CMMS, asset records, warranties, and preventive maintenance schedules.

  • Perform first-response troubleshooting and minor repairs across HVAC, electrical, plumbing, carpentry, and general systems.

  • Monitor BMS and building systems; identify inefficiencies and recommend improvements.

  • Support small projects, renovations, and post-construction transition to full operations. 

Compliance, Safety & Emergency Response

  • Ensure compliance with French regulations, building codes, and safety standards.

  • Support statutory inspections and maintain audit-ready documentation.

  • Participate in on-call rotations and respond to emergencies. 

Houseman, Housekeeping & Grounds Support

  • Maintain cleanliness, order, and presentation of interior and exterior spaces.

  • Care for terraces, patios, outdoor furniture, windows, floors, and storage areas.

  • Assist housekeeping with deep cleaning, polishing fine items, and event setup/service.

  • Support furniture moves, deliveries, inventory control, waste management, errands, and event assistance. 

Candidates should have experience working in a large, multi-staffed private residence, ideally with a hybrid facilities/ houseman or housekeeping/ facilities role. Hands-on cleaning and housekeeping experience. Experience with smart home systems and modern household appliances. Comfortable using basic technology: email, text, and computer-based tasks (Mac preferred). Candidates must be fluent in French and English, highly organised, proactive, detail-oriented, discreet. Excellent communication skills, a collaborative and solution-focused mindset, a valid driver’s licence. This role also requires an active, hands-on working style that includes lifting, ladder use, and outdoor tasks. Flexibility is essential as there will be occasional evenings or weekend work.
