A Monaco-based couple is seeking an experienced and highly capable House Manager to oversee the smooth operation of their private residences, primarily in Monaco, with travel to other European properties as required.

This is a hands-on role for a calm, organised, and proactive professional who leads by example. You will be responsible for maintaining exceptional standards across all properties, ensuring continuity of service, and creating a well-structured, harmonious household environment. Strong communication with the principals, staff, and family office is essential.

The House Manager will oversee the day-to-day running of the properties, ensuring all tasks are carried out seamlessly and to the highest standard. You will manage both permanent and temporary staff, ensure the homes are fully prepared at all times, and act as the key point of contact between the household and the family office.

Key Requirements

·        Calm, approachable leadership style with the ability to manage and train staff

·        Confident in both formal and informal table and wine service

·        Exceptional housekeeping skills, including:

o   Laundry and wardrobe care

o   Flower arranging

o   Interior presentation and hygiene

·        Comfortable caring for dogs

·        Experience with household or yacht technical systems (AV, lighting, sound)

Responsibilities

·        Administration

·        Managing staff rotas

·        Liaising with suppliers and contractors

·        Overseeing household budgets, purchases, and petty cash

·        Inventory management

·        Liaising closely with the family office on all operational matters

·        Providing PA support to Madam upon request (restaurant bookings, appointments, etc.)

Service & Housekeeping

·        Daily front-of-house service in coordination with the principals, chef, and staff

·        Table setting and service

·        Coordinating menus and timing with the chef and principals

·        Ensuring cleaning routines and presentation standards are consistently maintained

·        Overseeing daily laundry and dry cleaning

·        Wardrobe management, including packing and unpacking for travel

·        Care of fine household items (china, silver, crystal, artwork), including creating detailed work lists for staff when principals are away

Travel & Property Management

·        Coordinating staff travel between properties with the family office

·        Ensuring vehicles are fully prepared (maintenance, cleaning, paperwork)

·        Travelling ahead of the principals to open and prepare properties

·        Closing properties following the principals’ departure

Pet Care

·        Monitoring the dogs’ health and arranging veterinary visits

·        Purchasing supplies

·        Preparing dogs for travel and coordinating transportation between residences

·        Occasionally assisting with feeding and walking routines

·        Being available to stay with the dogs when the principals are not in residence

Full time position with a top negotiable salary based on experience. Accommodation available in a separate apartment if required (to be negotiated as part of the package). (HU4370)
