Essential Requirements – Confident family cook to Dinner Party Standard, Driver with clean licence. Dynamic, hands on with a can-do attitude, adaptable, well organised person who fits into the team and leads by example. Dog lover and child friendly.

Large, totally refurbished and very beautiful residence in immaculate grounds in the Scottish Borders, 30 mins from Berwick upon Tweed with good rail and airport links.

Full time residence of a young semi/informal family of six, includes four children, three of whom are at boarding school. The family however do travel regularly to other properties especially during school holidays.

There are 4 dogs which will require feeding and walking occasionally.

A full time Housekeeper is employed Monday to Friday and estate staff on the grounds and river.

Main Duties are that of daily preparation of family meals, which will include shoot lunches during the season.

Shopping, meal / menu planning, food preparation, cleanliness of kitchen, stock management

There is a kitchen garden providing lots of seasonal produce which the family like to use/be frozen/preserved etc.

Generally, family style food with limited formal entertaining (dining room seats a maximum of 16)

Reporting directly to the principals who are very hands on.

Willingness to lend a hand with light Housekeeping duties at weekends a big plus, but not essential.

Use of corporate credit card

Flexible attitude on hours depending on family movements (i.e. much quieter when family away)

Salary £40-45,000 Gross depending on experience. 2 days off per week which will vary between mid-week and weekends if the family are away. All found 2-bedroom apartment adjoining the main house. Use of staff car for work use. 20 days holiday plus bank holidays. ASAP Start. (HU4372)
