An UHNW principal based in Tuscany, Italy is seeking an experienced and highly professional Private Chef to oversee all culinary operations within a private household environment. This is an exceptional opportunity for a chef with previous private household experience who is passionate about high-quality ingredients, healthy cuisine, and delivering impeccable service standards in a discreet and refined setting. 

Key Responsibilities

  • Prepare daily breakfast, lunch, and dinner for the principal when in residence

  • Create healthy, well-balanced, flavour-driven menus tailored to the principal’s preferences

  • Produce a varied international repertoire including:

o   Italian cuisine

o   Mediterranean cuisine

o   Asian cuisine

o   Meat and fish-focused dishes

  • Cater for approximately four household staff members daily

  • Plan and execute occasional high-end entertaining (approximately 3 times per year), including elegant fine dining and beautifully presented dishes featuring premium ingredients such as lobster, caviar, and other luxury produce

  • Manage all aspects of the kitchen operation including:

o   Menu planning

o   Provisioning and shopping under supervision of the House Manager

o   Supplier liaison

o   Stock and inventory management

o   Equipment maintenance

o   Kitchen organisation and cleanliness

o   Ensure the kitchen and all related areas are maintained to immaculate standards at all times

o   Very high hygiene standards is a must 

The ideal candidate will have proven experience working as a Private Chef within an UHNW or private household environment and be confident delivering exceptional food and service standards with discretion and professionalism. A strong background in healthy, well-balanced international cuisine is essential, particularly Italian, Mediterranean, and Asian dishes, with excellent knowledge of meat and fish preparation. The successful candidate will also possess strong fine dining and presentation skills, with the ability to create beautifully plated meals for occasional formal entertaining. Applicants should be highly organised, proactive, flexible, and capable of managing a kitchen independently and alone. A valid driving licence is required, and Italian language skills would be considered a bonus.  

The principal is not in residence year-round and travels frequently, meaning the role offers quieter periods and downtime between busy service schedules. When the principal is in residence, the chef will be responsible for preparing breakfast, lunch, and dinner daily, as well as meals for approximately four household staff members. The property has access to exceptional local suppliers and outstanding fresh produce, meat, and fish. The position is a live-in position. Independent flat is provided.
