 We are seeking an experienced and highly professional House Manager to oversee the day-to-day running of a private residence. This is a service-led operational role focused on ensuring a seamless, well-organised, and welcoming living environment. The successful candidate will take responsibility for maintaining high standards across all aspects of household service, ensuring the property is consistently prepared and running efficiently. 

Key Responsibilities

  • Ensure the property is maintained to a consistently high standard of readiness

  • Oversee housekeeping and service delivery across the residence

  • Coordinate guest preparation and hosting

  • Implement and maintain effective household systems and organisation

  • Maintain awareness of household preferences to support a personalised experience

  • Manage pre-arrival and departure preparations

  • Act as the on-site lead for daily household operations

  • Coordinate logistics related to the smooth running of the home

  • Communicate effectively with staff

  • Provide leadership and support to the household team

 

Candidates must have previous private house experience along with practical, hands-on experience in delivering high-quality service. This role requires candidates to be discreet, reliable and proactive with strong attention to detail.

This is a service-focused role centred on the day-to-day living environment; you will work in close coordination with the Facilities Manager. This role requires strong leadership and supervision, high standards of service delivery (including dining and guest care), inventory and wardrobe management, organisational systems management, planning and preparation for arrivals and departures. Candidates must be adaptable and flexible.
